A Peak Into Our Past

September 19, 2010 Leave a comment

Ben Wisdom, a virtual acquaintance that I follow on Google Reader, shared the link to this photo collection quite a while back. Many (many, many) weeks went by before I finally took the time to go to the link to view the collection. I kept saving the link in Google Reader until I finally got around to it.

The collection, titled “Captured: America in Color from 1939-1943“,  offers a brief glimpse into our past. It is a an interesting view into how things were for some folks in America in the not so distant past. My parents were children and teens during this time, so this is part of their experience. I hope you enjoy it.

Teaching Our Kids to Lie

This is from Al Mohler’s blog this week. In it, Al references a New York magazine article that addresses an issue that has bugged me for a long time. I’m glad to see someone has actually done some research into the topic. It is, in my opinion, one of our culture’s (many) “sociological advances” that in the end will play a large part in our society’s demise.
